The F-K-R (Fat-tire Klunker
Replica) blends the classic styling of the vintage Schwinn-based
Klunkers with modern functionality. Built by Curtis Inglis to
Mountain Goat design specifications and painted by Russ Pickett
(AirArt) to resemble the classis "Goats Horn" paint.
Components were chosen for functionality with a nod to the past. Goat Horn handlebars mimic the old bullmoose bars and Paul Thumbies mount Shimano shifters since the only shifter used to be a thumb shifter. A Thomson post supports the classic leather Brooks B-17 saddle. All of this wrapped around a set of Bontrager 29" wheels. As of this writing, this bike is available to purchase "as is", with your mix of components or as a frame and fork. Check out the Mountain Goat availability page for details.
